Join us for a conversation with experienced panelists on Ecuador and the meaning of the runoff election for their democracy. We will ask – What do Ecuadorian citizens want? What challenges does the upcoming government face? What will the consequences be for its democracy and what does this election tell us about regional trends?

We will have the following panelists:
• Manuela Picq, Professor at Universidad San Francisco de Quito. Ecuador.
• Diego Ordóñez, Doctor in Jurisprudence, Legislator and Provincial Congressman for Pichincha
• Franklin Ramirez, Research-Professor at FLASCO- Ecuador
• Moderated by: Victoria Murillo, Professor of Political Science at Columbia (ILAS) & Steve Levitsky, Professor of Government at Harvard (DRCLAS)

This event is part of the series "Tendiendo Puentes". This event is being organized by the Institute of Latin American Studies at Columbia, and co-sponsored by the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard.
