Promise and Challenge in Latin America’s Energy Future
Countries across Latin America have experienced some of the worst impacts of the pandemic, which have created major challenges in the energy sector. Even as these countries work to manage the human suffering caused by Covid-19, some in the region are strongly embracing the need for changes in energy policy, accelerating their low-carbon transition, and building new supply chains. Others are redoubling their focus on legacy energy systems. Which trends will predominate in the region?

The Center on Global Energy Policy is pleased to host a panel of experts to examine the promise and challenge in Latin America’s energy future as part of our 7th Annual Columbia Global Energy Summit.
