1st Black Brazilian Women Intellectuals International Conference: Quilombo as Global Black Solidarity in the Past, Present and Future: IV - Politics of Education, Representation and Decoloniality
IV - Politics of Education, Representation and Decoloniality in knowledge production.

The engagement of Black women in knowledge production goes beyond the limits of formal education and Eurocentric science. Women have played a central role in the development of anti-racist pedagogies in Brazil. Such pedagogies challenge the separation between body, mind and emotion and elaborate new perspectives for the future. The knowledge production of Black women as a counter-hegemonic and decolonial practice is the focus of this panel.
